Adult Paddling Programs

Welcome to the adult paddling community at the Collingwood Paddling Club!

Whether you are looking for a new way to stay active, want to enjoy the stunning South Georgian Bay sunsets, or are ready to satisfy your competitive drive, there is a seat for you here. Operating out of the historic Watts Boathouse, we offer programs for all skill levels from complete beginners (no experience necessary!) to seasoned endurance athletes. Explore our programs below and join us on the water this season.

Looking to paddle at your own pace? Our Open Paddle program is a supervised opportunity to come out for recreational paddling in whichever vessel you choose (kayak, SUP, canoe). We also partner with Georgian Bay Paddling to offer a specialized instructional canoe program culminating in earning your ORCKA Levels!

Join the Sidelaunchers – the club’s premier dragon boat program! Returning to the Bay each spring through fall, we offer both competitive and recreational tiers. It’s the ultimate team sport, combining fitness, synchronized paddling, and an incredible community.

A thrilling flat-water canoe and kayak sprint program strictly for adults (18+). You don’t need any prior experience to join! We will teach you how to balance and paddle in sleek sprint boats, offering a fantastic core workout and the opportunity to race at regional regattas.

Back again for another season! If you love long-distance challenges, this growing canoe sport is returning to the Bay this May. Perfect for paddlers looking to improve their stroke efficiency, build immense stamina, and travel long distances on the water.

An inclusive, adaptive canoe and kayak program designed for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. With a supportive 1:2 coach-to-athlete ratio, we ensure a safe, fun, and welcoming environment for all.

More Than Just a Workout

When you join an adult program at the Collingwood Paddling Club, you are joining a vibrant, supportive community. We host social events, team-building clinics, and provide access to the best waterfront views in town. Every program includes a safety orientation, and all club boats, paddles, and PFDs are provided.
