The Ultimate Outdoor Summer Camp in Collingwood
Conveniently located by the Collingwood Harbour at the historic Watts Boathouse, the Collingwood Paddling Club has proudly hosted one of the region’s most popular outdoor summer day camps for over ten years. Our Paddle Camps are designed for kids and teens who are ready to explore, discover, and make memories that will leave them counting down the days until next summer.
Every week, campers engage in a wide range of age-appropriate water sports and on-land games wrapped around exciting weekly themes. From a kayaking trip to Harbourview Park for a game of soccer, to learning to paddle as a team in our massive dragon boats, to testing their balance on stand-up paddleboards (SUPs), one thing is for certain: our campers make the most of their day on the South Georgian Bay.
Bonus: Free Summer Membership!
Every child who registers for Paddle Camp automatically becomes a member of the Collingwood Paddling Club for the season! This means they can continue to paddle throughout the summer during CPC “Open Paddle” hours, provided they are accompanied by a parent.
Safety First on the Water
No previous paddling experience is necessary, but all participants are required to be competent swimmers. Safety is our absolute priority. Campers must wear their properly sized Personal Flotation Device (PFD) at all times when on the water or on the docks. While our certified coaches and counselors ensure a safe environment, campers must be comfortable in the water in the event they tip their boat.
What to Bring in Your Camp Bag
Please ensure your child arrives every day with the following items, clearly labeled with their name:
- Their own properly fitted, Transport Canada-approved Personal Flotation Device (PFD)
- Sunscreen (applied before camp, and packed for reapplication)
- A healthy, nut-free lunch and snacks
- A refillable water bottle
- Bathing suit and a towel
- A full change of dry clothes
- Hat and sunglasses
- Water shoes or sandals with a heel strap (no flip-flops)
